Understanding more about nutrigenomics
Nutrigenomics explores how variations in our DNA influence our unique health profiles and how personalised nutrition and lifestyle interventions can mitigate negative effects.
As a qualified nutrigenomics practitioner working with Lifecode Gx, the UK’s leading provider of nutrigenomics testing services, I ensure accurate, evidence-based testing and interpretation.
Lifecode Gx offers specialist panels such as Nutrient Core, Nervous System, Hormones, Histamine and Detoxification. The Nutrient Core is a good test to start with as it looks at 15 aspects of health including: food response to gluten and lactose, caffeine sensitivity, microbiome diversity, vitamin absorption, appetite regulation, blood pressure, circadian rhythm and inflammation.
What to expect
After booking, a simple mouth swab test kit is sent to you, which you return for lab analysis. Results typically take 2-3 weeks.
Once the results are received, you can book in your 60-minute consultation with me (online or in-person). We will go through the results in detail and I will discuss personalised food, supplement and lifestyle interventions and answer any questions you have.
I will send you a summary of findings and your nutrition plan after the consultation.
